UPDATES

๐Ÿ“‚ Backup Versions in Multiple Folders

While we've always had Backup Versioning using your storage drive revision history, going forward you'll now have multi-folder backups!

Each time your backup processes, you'll now have a new backup folder ๐Ÿ“ containing your data with the date of the backup as the title.

This will allow you to have multiple backup versions of your Airtable data inside different folders in your storage drive, making it easy to review changes by date.

โญLearn how it works

What it means for your backups

You don't have to do anything at all! This will be the new way backups are created.

The backups you currently have in your storage drive will remain where they are, but will no longer be updated going forward. You'll use the new date-based folder backups.

Timeline for rollout

We'll start rolling out multi-folder backups over the next 2 - 3 weeks. You'll start seeing them soon depending on your backup schedule.

Storage space

While we don't expect you to need much more storage space in your drive for the CSV files, you may see a increase in storage used. Please review it after the first few backups to ensure storage size is adequate.

Attachments

We'll continue to backup all Attachments on the first backup, then backup new Attachments on each subsequent backup. We do not back up all Attachments again on every single backup, so this should not impact your storage space any more than typical.
