Sometimes, you need to have multiple versions of your backup in different folders in your storage drive. This could be for compliance reasons, standard procedures, client needs, or something else.
We automatically do this in On2Air Backups with Incremental Backups. Your backups are created multiple times into different folders, depending on your Schedule - monthly, weekly, daily, or continuous.

If you want even more granular control, you can create multiple backup projects.
You can do this by creating multiple Backup Projects in On2Air Backups with a slightly different schedule, but choosing different folders from your storage drive.
By default in On2Air Backups, we override each backup with a new version in the same folder. While you can use Revision History at any time to view each backup version in your storage drive, this is another method.
Using Multiple Folders
To do this, you can create multiple Backup Projects with the same data. Each Backup Project has its own schedule, own bases, and its own folder from your storage drive.
So you would create 2 different Backup Projects with the same base(s), set a slightly different schedule, then choose a different folder in each Project.
Now, both Backup Projects will backup at similar times, but into different folders.
📝 Please note that you will need to choose different times as we do not start new backups in the same account until a previous one is completed. No two backups run at the same time. If the first one is still processing, we will wait until it is complete to process the second one.
How to Set Up Multiple Backup Projects with Different Folders
- Create 2 folders in your storage drive - 1 for each backup location. It would be best to give them names that include 1 and 2, so you can tell them apart.
📝 Please note that you will need to choose different times as we do not start new backups in the same account until a previous one is completed. No two backups run at the same time. If the first one is still processing, we will wait until it is complete to process the second one.
